Freewheel crankset from a different source, but motor bracket and all other parts from GNG. Bicycle is from Wal-Mart.
Chain stay on top is to prevent chain from derailing to the inside when shifting from second to first gear. Without it, it would derail off the chain wheel and then derail off the motor cog. It's a pain to set it back and seems that the chain stay solved the problem.
